I totally understand that you should never touch your boss, but where does it cross the lines? From what we saw, it looked like Titus O’Neil was trying to give a man a hug, apparently Vince wasn’t having any of it. Roman Reigns got to superman punch Vince, Stone Cold got to give Vince a stunner, Titus tried to give Vince a hug and gets suspended 90 days.
Titus O’Neil has been one of your best ambassadors for your company, was Dad of the Year in 2015 and now is suspended 90 days and has to miss Wrestlemania because he upset Vince Mcmahon.
Did you know that in the wellness policy if you break it a second time its only 60 days? So you can take steroids and be popped and miss only 2 months of work. What type of message is this setting? You hug your boss you get an additional 30 days? So your saying its ok to do steroids just dont touch the boss.
Granted there is no excuse for touching a boss without his permission. I am sure he was just playing with Vince but at that moment maybe it wasn’t too professional. I think what upset Vince the most is that it was in front of cameras and in front of people. Perhaps if Titus went into the back and did it, it would be ok, but not in front of everyone.
The real punishment for this, should not be a suspension, but instead do what your doing with Tyler breeze. Book the guy to lose for a long time. House Shows, TV matches, just have him lose. Have him lose to the bottom of card, the Zack Ryder’s, Fandangos, Social Outcasts, Damien Sandow, Stardust, R-Truth, whoever they consider not main event guys and guys who open the show. Heck have him lose to the Ascension in 2 on 1 matches. To suspend the guy though is quite ridiculous and not worth the punishment.
In the eyes of the fans this is a pr disaster. Why? because he has done so much good for the company and now he cant do anything for 90 days but sit at home. Your biggest event is in 60 days a perfect time for a guy like him to be out there smiling and waving and being a part of the community and doing good and now he cant do that. If you remember on a Smackdown, he bought a bunch of tickets for students to attend. Now with this suspension you lose an ambassador for that.
In the end I feel bad for the guy. Granted somehow Titus O’Neil blocked me on Twitter and I have no idea why. Even with being blocked on twitter by him I still feel bad and I hope WWE drops the suspension and punishes him in the ring instead of having him sit on a already depleted roster.
