Tonight on WWE RAW The leader of The Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan Announced his retirement from the ring. Daniel Bryan made the official  announcement hours before Raw through his Twitter account @WWEDanielBryan and followed up with a 24 minute speech closing out Monday Night Raw. The Show went long and nobody batted an eye. 11:26 PM EST. That’s what time WWE went off the air tonight.

Many of the WWE Superstars were honoring his career through Tweets and videos all day leading up to RAW,  however after many interviews and Tweets of his own expressing his strong urge to continue wrestling this left the question as to wether this was a work, or not. It turned out this was not a work at all and in fact this was a very sad day for fans, WWE and Pro Wrestling. The same excitement that kept fans anticipating his return to the ring was the same energy that kept fans hoping this is intact kayfabe.

From all of us at Pro Wrestling Nighty you will be missed. Daniel Bryan was a pioneer and a champion. Daniel Bryan helped pave the way for the future of WWE and opened the doors for a lot of top talent that may of never had the opportunity with out his endless efforts. Names like Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. Not only should we all thank him for everything he did for the industry while he was wrestling we should thank him for what he has left us with. Daniel Bryan left us with the legacy of Pro Wrestling in a Sports Entertainment World.
